How to get to Kastellet

Many ways to visit us at Kastellet in Vaxholm

There are many ways to get to Kastellet—choose the one that suits you best.

Boat between Vaxholm and Kastellet

Take M/S Korsön from pier 1 in Vaxholm to Kastellet. The boat departs from Vaxholm every 20 minutes between 11:25 and 17:05. The last departure from Kastellet is at 17:15.

The boat departs on the following days:
May 9-12, 18-19 & 25-26
June 1-2, 6-9, 15-16 & 24-30
July 1-August 18
August 24-25 & August 31-September 1

Prices – return tickets
Adults: 110 SEK
Children 3-12 years: 80 SEK
Children 0-2 years: free

You can purchase your ticket on site using a credit card or Swish.

Alternative boat transports – we’re here to help

It’s easy to get to Kastellet on your own, but if you prefer, we can certainly arrange transportation all the way. A boat from Nybrokajen takes 45 to 75 minutes, depending on which boat you take. You can also get here by bus, car, or taxi—but the final stretch always involves a boat to cross over to Kastellet.

Kastellet’s Guest Harbour – Own Boat
You’re welcome to visit us with your own boat, whether it’s motor or sail. Our harbour has a limited number of spots but is well-protected from traffic in the sound. If we’re full, there are guest spots available at Vaxholm’s harbor.
